Event facility:
The fair is held in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center; it's most notable feature is it's clocktower.
Set up:
Organizations should arrive between 8:00am and 9:30am to allow time for check-in and set-up (before the event begins at 10:00am). Navigating campus traffic, parking, and walking to the event facility can take some time, so take that into consideration when planning timing.
Each organization will have a 6'x3' table and chairs based on the # of reps on the fair registration. Solid black tables are available to borrow (limited quantity).

What not to bring: Tables or chairs (we provide those), balloons, large displays more than 6ft. wide

Table location:

We will provide a map and table location as recruiters check in for the event.

Equipment Drop Off:

There will be an equipment drop-off area behind the event facility. Follow the EQUIPMENT DROP OFF parking signs to the designated section behind the building. Staff will take your materials and deliver them to your table.
Equipment drop-off address: 9290 BARNHARDT LN, Charlotte NC 28223

Shipping materials:
The event facility does not accept shipped materials. We recommend that materials be shipped directly to recruiters or to the hotel they are staying at. Recruiters are welcome to use our convenient drive-up equipment drop-off service.
We're unable to assist with shipping materials out after the event, but there are nearby UPS and FedEx stores. We can assist recruiters in bringing materials to the loading area for pick-up after the event. Materials not picked up by 2:30pm will be left just inside the facility doors for pick-up; we're not responsible for items not picked up.

Food:
The event includes a light breakfast (muffins, yogurt parfaits, fruit) and hot buffet lunch (chipotle braised chicken, black beans, yellow rice, salsas, tortillas, toppings, cookies, brownies).

COVID-related information:
We will follow the University's regulations related to COVID for this event. Masks are optional (but welcome), and there is no vaccination requirement.

Event attire:
Recruiters - any attire is welcome. At fairs, some recruiters wear suits and others wear casual attire. Many recruiters dress in business casual attire (and may wear a branded polo or shirt).
About the attire of students attending the event - professional attire is strongly recommended, and the Career Center provides a free clothing closet for students. We won't turn away students who are dressed casually, and we appreciate your understanding that some students are beginning to navigate professional settings or may have limited access to professional clothing.
Clothing Closet donations:
Have professional attire (Suits, blouses, pants, skirts, dresses, men's dress shirts, belts, ties, shoes) that you're no longer wearing? We're happy to accept donations at the career fair for our Professional Clothing Closet, which provides professional clothing to students in need. We have a particular need for small clothing sizes.

UNC Charlotte's Fall Career & Internship Fair provides organizations with an excellent opportunity for branding and recruiting candidates for full-time jobs, internships, and co-ops. 3,000 candidates attended this fair in the past.

Last year, this fair sold out in August, so register quickly.

Students and alumni (undergraduate and graduate) from across all colleges attend this fair. However, academic departments hold specific events for students in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and Nursing, so few of those students attend the Fall Fair. Information on departmental fairs (and contacts) is on careerfairs.charlotte.edu (scroll down). If you have questions about what event is best for your recruiting needs, email careerfairs@charlotte.edu.

Graduate programs: Because of space limitations, we're unable to have graduate programs at this event. We welcome graduate programs at our Spring fairs: the STEM Fair, Spring Career & Internship Fair. and Education Career Fair.

Employer Registration Fees*

Registration covers attendance by 2 recruiters; includes a 6' x 3' table, chairs, refreshments, lunch, parking, and marketing. Each additional recruiter is $75; max of 4 total recruiters per table. Electrical access is $50.

UNC Charlotte's W-9 form is available online.

*After 5 years without an increase in registration fees, we have increased the registration fee by an average of 10-15% (less than the 23% increase in inflation over that time).

The University Career Center is committed to ensuring accessibility to career fairs and events. Persons (UNC Charlotte students/alumni and employers) who wish to request special accommodations should contact the event coordinator (Brooke Brown, 704-687-0789, Brooke.Brown@charlotte.edu) and UNC Charlotte's Office of Disability Services (704-687-0040 (tty/v) or accessibility@charlotte.edu) at least one week in advance of the event.
