Professional Clothing Donations:
While you're with us at the fair, we have some opportunities for you to donate items you're not using, so we can help Niners succeed! We're seeking donated clothing for the Professional Career Closet, which provides Charlotte students with access to professional attire appropriate for career fairs, interviews, networking events, and the workplace. Inventory includes suits, dress pants, dress shirts, blazers, blouses, skirts, belts, shoes, ties, handbags and more. Our goal is to help students look their best throughout their job search so they can make a positive impression as they enter the professional world!
Candidate attendance:
The STEM Fair is open to all Charlotte students/alumni, as well as students/alumni from any college/university. We expect 1,800 candidates.
Event attire:
Recruiters - any attire is welcome. At fairs, some recruiters wear suits and others wear casual attire. Many recruiters dress in business casual attire (and may wear a branded polo or shirt).
About the attire of students/alumni attending the event - professional attire is strongly recommended, and the Career Center provides a free clothing closet for students. We won't turn away students who are dressed casually, and we appreciate your understanding that some students are beginning to navigate professional settings or may have limited access to professional clothing.
