Large career fair focused on opportunities in a wide range of areas (but, generally, not STEM fields); open to all majors and all class levels. 130+ employers and grad programs offering full-time jobs, internships, graduate programs. Attendees include Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and local businesses.

The career fair holds value for students at all levels:

  • Seniors can connect with employers for full-time, post-grad positions.
  • Sophomores & Juniors can meet employers offering internships and co-ops.
  • First-year students can explore career options by talking with professionals and get a head-start on applying for internships.
  • Graduate students will find full-time and internship opportunities with 50% of fair employers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who may attend? Any job seeker may attend this event. The event is targeted at current college students and candidates with college degrees.

 

Do I need to register or RSVP? No, candidates do not need to register or RSVP for the fair in order to attend. UNC Charlotte students and alumni have the option to RSVP and indicate interested employers through Hire-A-Niner. There is no registration or RSVP available for other candidates.

 

What is the cost? There is no cost for candidates to attend the event. The University does charge for Visitor Parking on campus, and candidates are responsible for those fees.

 

What organizations will be there? The employer list is available on this page. It is updated in real-time as organizations register (and cancel); employers will continue to register until the week of the event. You can use the list to search for employers by name or use the Advanced Search for more options (including the ability to search by major, work authorization level, etc.).

 

What should I bring to the event? Candidates are encouraged to bring multiple copies of a professional resume. Optionally, candidates may bring business cards, a portfolio, and other materials. The Student Activity Center staff request that students not bring backpacks or large bags to the event.

 

What is the dress code? Candidates are expected to dress professionally, based on employer request. While suits are encouraged, candidates can dress in business professional or business casual clothing (but no jeans). Professional dress includes collared shirts, dress pants/slacks, dresses, skirts, polo shirts, blazers, button-up shirts, blouses, and dress shoes.

 

How can I get additional help preparing for the event? We have online resources on dressing for success, resume writing, working a career fair, developing a pitch, and interviewing in our Career Guide. UNC Charlotte students and alumni can use the Career Center's services (including individual appointments). Students and alumni from other colleges/universities are encouraged to contact their career center for assistance.

 

Where do I park? Candidates who don't have a UNC Charlotte parking pass should park at a Visitor Parking deck/lot on campus (and will need to pay for visitor parking). The closest visitor parking to the event is in the Union Deck and East Parking Deck.
